Who We Are

Mission: To counter negative cultural influences that misdirect the lives of youth by raising awareness and strengthening families through innovative prevention programming, education, parental engagement, mentoring, and counseling.

The Yunion (pronounced union) is a 501c3 non profit organization that serves youth and families in Metro Detroit. Today, The Yunion has reached over 10,000 Metro Detroit youth via innovative prevention programming, engaging workshops, assemblies, and conferences. We have collaborated with over 3-dozen schools, community organizations, and churches in empowering Detroit youth and families.

What We Do

The organization is dedicated to expanding its youth support programs, including The Cave, which plans to offer wrap-around services, teen-centered podcasts, virtual curricula, and program scaling. The Workforce Development Program will continue to provide innovative career preparation, while Keys 2 Life evolves to amplify youth voices. The SWAG Life Skills Program is strengthening partnerships with Detroit schools to expand its reach. Through these initiatives, the organization aims to provide dynamic, transformative opportunities for youth growth and empowerment.
