Who We Are
Mission: To serve as a compassionate ministry, strengthening families through community connections and offering help with basic human needs to residents. Helping to build a more resilient, food-secure community by providing the tools needed to build self-sufficiency.
We are a faith-based non-profit organization located in Hamtramck. Our Pantry policies and best practices address the barriers that keep families food insecure. While meeting the unique needs of our community.
What We Do
As the only food pantry in the greater metro Detroit area using the nationally known SWAP food-ranking system, we teach clients how to choose healthy foods. We collaborate with EMU REACH, a CDC-funded program, to educate clients about the link between poor nutrition and chronic disease and provide nutrition education programs such as Cooking Matters and Healthy recipes in our nutrition corner.
