We arm you with tax law training and on-site expert support so that you can confidently complete accurate returns. With a minimum commitment of 30 hours, you can help us return millions of dollars to members of our community this season. Training is available at several locations in southeast Michigan, including colleges. Both new and returning volunteers take training courses to learn more about tax issues, credits, and changes in the tax law. Training includes practice with the tax preparation software (Taxslayer), IRS certification tests and free food! Once trained & certified, you will then be eligible able to volunteer at one of our tax sites located throughout Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, Livingston and Washtenaw counties.
