Volunteer: Serve Food and Safety: Deliver a Food Box to an Elder!

BCI helps homebound seniors receive their Focus: Hope grocery boxes. Each month, on the Friday after the 4th Thursday you can deliver between 6 to 8 Focus: Hope boxes of groceries. Choose to come every month? Then you're able to receive the same route and form a connection with the seniors. This is a wonderful way to make a huge impact every month or once in a while. 

Each box weighs around 30 lbs and typically can fit in the backseat of a sedan and trunk. Orientation required.

Piquette Square is a 150-unit apartment project in Detroit to house and care for homeless veterans. Piquette Square offers comprehensive support services to help the veterans develop self-sufficiency and reintegrate into the community.

In order to help veterans feel welcomed into Piquette Square, MiSide is seeking donations of items to help outfit veterans' apartments. Items needed include:

Dishes (new or gently used) Coffee Cups Coffee pots Crock Pots Eating utensils Large cooking spoons Bowls Pots/pans (new or gently used) Blankets, sheets (regular size), pillows must all be new Towels, washcloths must all be new Laundry basket Laundry soap (liquid only) Cleaning supplies, Lysol, Comet, Bleach, etc. Body Soap Tooth brushes Tooth paste Razors Shaving Cream
