Gallup Nature Area
9 a.m. to noon
Join us in preserving one of Ann Arbor’s most unique nature areas, the Gallup wet prairie. An open area dominated by grasses and sedges, this fragile ecosystem is home to many native plants and animals. We will be removing invasive shrubs that threaten and out-compete native plant species for essential resources. Please enter Gallup from Fuller Rd and drive over the bridge and park in the first parking lot to meet NAP staff.
Please wear long pants and closed-toe shoes. This event is suitable for all ages but minors must be accompanied by a guardian or contact NAP in advance to obtain a release form. Tools, snacks, and know-how provided. Free.
