The Donor Engagement Specialist Volunteer will serve as an advocate and solicitor to donors and potential fundraising sponsors. This volunteer will research donor profiles and ensure they are consistently engaged with the organization, and will make both phone and written solicitations to engage or reengage donors and/or sponsors on behalf of the organizations.

The volunteer must be comfortable with soliciting potential individuals and businesses over the phone.

We are seeking one or two individuals who have worked in public relations and / or media relations to help us tell our story more widely.  Former journalists or new PR professionals are welcome to volunteer. Help us occasionally or regularly.

We have a very busy year ahead with events, competitions and summer jobs for Detroit youth. You will volunteer to write media releases, email newsletters and pitch and follow up with journalists, editors, producers to get Mint some stories and coverage.

Join our Marketing Group and help Mint continue the momentum this year.

Vista Maria and MAP have joined forces in the fight against human trafficking. By combining two of Michigan’s leading human trafficking programs, we are better positioned to improve awareness, advocacy, and services to combat human trafficking. Vista Maria’s expertise has been in the area of innovative treatment and services for adolescent survivors, and MAP has been an influential advocate for survivor-focused legislation. Our partnership only strengthens our collective ability to raise awareness, improve training and broaden our advocacy within the anti-trafficking movement.

The Office Assistant volunteer is integral to allow operations to run smoothly. With many office and administrative tasks necessary in our organization, staff may find themselves pulled away from other duties. This slows us down to serve our clients in a meaningful and efficient way. 

There is a need for assistance on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, from 10AM-4PM.

Volunteers will be available to assist residents with technology questions and issues. Residents may have questions regarding their phone, TV, tablet, computer, or using the internet. Volunteers are expected to make a weekly committment. We do understand that there may be occasional days when you would not be available to volunteer for a week. Background check, health screenings, orientation, and interview required.

The ideal candidate for a cohort volunteer is able to commit to volunteer one day per week for the duration of the school year program; October to May.

This volunteer will assist youth in reading and executing recipes, provide support to classroom facilitators which may include setting up and tearing down.

Assist in keeping count of inventory, supplies needed for the next class.

Let’s Read volunteers will work with assigned students in kindergarten through third grade on the foundational skills of literacy.  Each child and volunteer will be provided with a workbook that matches the student’s needs as identified through the i-Ready diagnostic assessment.  The volunteer will work with an assigned student(s) to complete pages in a workbook that reinforce skills that child needs to grow in the foundations of literacy.
