Who We Are
Mission: To redirect and guide our youth.
“It takes a village to raise a child” is a proverb that means that an entire community of people must provide for and interact positively with children for those children to experience and grow in a safe and healthy environment.” When you hear the term “the village” or “it takes a village” you think about all of the monumental people in your life that have helped groom you into the person you are today.
What We Do
We have an amazing speed and agility program with at least 40 + kids consistently in attendance. This weekly program starts on Saturday mornings at 7am and ends around 8:30am, in which our youth will thoroughly stretch at the beginning and ending, and rotate between the 5 different drills that we offer. We make sure to keep our kids hydrated and motivated, giving them breaks when needed and positive feedback throughout the time there. We also send them on their way with a breakfast snack. We recently had paired with the former coach of the grizzlies, Fred Jackson, to start a quarterback training course for aspiring players. During that period the kids were instructed by Mr. Jackson, and will take notes, ask questions and engage with him. This course goes from 9am on Saturday mornings until 10am. Recently we have, had multiple collegiate schools and athletes come in, such as Eastern Michigan, Saginaw University, John Hopkins, and Madonna University so far, typically the guys have come in to speak; then we have set a day for players to facilitate the clinic with the kids, which created a great bonding experience. Alongside with a tutoring program that we have been running for 3 years now.
