Who We Are

Mission: To empower immigrants, refugees, and disadvantaged communities in Michigan, focusing on women’s empowerment and providing essential services for stability and self-sufficiency.

Hope Care and Beyond (HCB) was founded by individuals who immigrated from Pakistan and Saudi Arabia to Michigan over 30 years ago. After experiencing challenges in adjusting to the new culture, they were motivated to help other immigrants and refugees with their transition to life in the U.S.

HCB was established as a non-profit to support refugee and immigrant families, particularly women, by providing essential services like food, clothing, and vocational training. Through partnerships with local organizations and volunteers, HCB helps to enhance the quality of life for marginalized communities by promoting cultural integration and self-sufficiency. Today, HCB serves refugees, immigrants, and disadvantaged American-born individuals, offering programs like English classes, citizenship education, and job training.

What We Do

Hope Care and Beyond (HCB) fulfills its mission by providing essential services and resources to refugee, immigrant, and marginalized communities in Michigan.

The organization offers programs such as English as a Second Language (ESL) classes, citizenship and cultural assimilation courses, and vocational training in sewing skills. HCB has community hubs called International Friendship Centers (IFCs), which are like local access points for food, clothing, and household goods. Through these, HCB helps individuals become self-sufficient and successfully integrate into American society, while also guiding for a sense of belonging and support within the community.
