Crime Stoppers of Michigan

Mission: To empower people to anonymously report crime through our 1800 SpeakUp Program supporting law enforcement by preventing and solving criminal activity while increasing safety through our Center for Crime Prevention in our neighborhoods, schools, churches, and businesses.

Crime Stoppers of Michigan is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Through Crime Stoppers’ community outreach programs, we engage people in taking an active role in keeping their local communities safe, so that they may live, work and play without fear.

Crime Stoppers of Michigan serves seven counties: Livingston, Macomb, Monroe, Oakland, St. Clair, Washtenaw, and Wayne. Crime Stoppers of Michigan serves approximately 200 law enforcement agencies in our eight county service area.

Crime Stoppers of Michigan, through our 1-800-SPEAKUP tip line, empowers people to make their environment safer by providing a way for them to report information to assist in solving crimes anonymously and receive a reward. The objective of the tip line is to help citizens, businesses and schools rid the community of criminals.

We provide a wide range of services to support community outreach, including posters, door hangers, social media posts, press conferences, geo-fencing, billboards, family support, community presentations, resource group support, and research initiatives.
