We work alongside people with disabilities to support independence, break down barriers, and create inclusive communities. Our services are delivered in schools, community spaces, and onsite at our center. We:
-
Deliver Core Independent Living Services – Including advocacy, peer counseling, skills training, information & referral, and transition services for youth and adults.
-
Provide Specialized Programs – Such as Assistive Technology access, ADA technical assistance, nursing home transitions, housing referrals, and independent living workshops.
-
Support Employment Pathways – Through Employment Navigation Services, we help individuals build work-readiness skills, create personalized Independent Living Plans, and navigate the complex vocational rehabilitation system.
-
Advocate for Systemic Change – We engage with employers, policymakers, and the broader community to eliminate employment barriers and promote inclusive hiring practices using a dual-customer approach that supports both job seekers and employers.
Serving over 5,000 individuals annually, we are one of the only local organizations uniquely positioned—and deeply trusted—to lead conversations and action on disability inclusion in metro Detroit.
