Thank you for your interest in volunteering with us at SafeHouse Center! We have a rich history of providing outstanding services to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. We work within the local community and help lead efforts to create a violence-free society. We are excited to invite you to join us in this work!
SafeHouse Center has two large umbrella groups of volunteer opportunities: Direct Services and Non-Direct Services.
Direct Service programs offer volunteers the opportunity to work directly with survivors and their children. Select an opportunity below for more information. All of these programs involve crisis intervention work.
Application requirements: All direct service volunteers must be at least 18 years old and must complete a 32-hour Direct Service Volunteer Training that takes place twice a year in the spring and fall. Our Fall 2019 Training dates are September 20-22 and October 4-5, 2019. Attendance is required for all 5 days of the training. Volunteers are trained for one program at the training.
