Description

Interim Healthcare and Hospice is a full-service hospice that supports a person’s quality of life when time is limited. We provide physical, emotional, and spiritual support to our patients, and their caregivers.  Though our office is based in Novi, MI, our service territory extends to Wayne, Oakland, and parts of Livingston counties.  As member of our Hospice team, volunteers have a tremendous impact on the lives of the patients and families we serve. Consider joining our team as a Patient Musical Companion Volunteer.  These volunteers provide social visits for the patients and the families that we serve, while incorporating the gift of music while visiting. These visits support our patients by enhancing socialization, while utilizing the gift of music as a way of connection. We work with our volunteers to make sure these visits are meaningful and centered around the needs of our patients. These visits may include, but are not limited to, providing bedside companionship, sharing musical talent as a means of connection or entertainment, playing their favorite game, reading their favorite book, reminiscing with the individual, and more. These Volunteers must be 18+ years of age, be willing to complete our required onboarding and training process, as well as have a background in music. For more information, or to apply, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Lisa Gardner, at (248) 986-1272 (cell), or via email at ligardner@interimhealthcare.com.
