Forgotten Harvest is looking for volunteers to help get the old Greenfield warehouse ready for a Client Choice Market. Forgotten Harvest’s Client Choice Market will allow those in need to select their own food instead of receiving a prepacked or standard bag of groceries. With this method, those in need do not have to take items they already have, do not like, or cannot eat for health or personal reasons.
Volunteers are needed to assist with the following:
- Sorting and unboxing shipments of food and sorting into food categories
- Shelving the food items in the proper sections in the client shopping area
- Helping to dust, wipe shelves, sweep, recycle boxes, and other basic cleaning and organization tasks as needed
- Putting out printed recipe cards, client cards, etc. in client waiting area
- Cleaning up and taking out trash
This opportunity will occur from 9:00 AM -12:00 PM or until everything has been stocked. Volunteers should be 18 years or older. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
MANDATORY DRESS CODE
- Must wear closed toe shoes. Long pants are suggested.
- NO open toe or heel shoes (any kind of shoe exposing feet or any part of the foot. ex. sandals, sling back, or Crocs)
