Join the Ann Arbor Parks Volunteer Program and Xperi for a volunteer workday at Esch Park, a neighborhood park with a well-loved playground. During this volunteer event, we’ll focus on weeding and spreading play-safe woodchips on the playground. This effort will make the space safer for children and families while keeping the park looking its best.
Event Details:
Date: Thursday, July 8, 2026
Time: 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Meeting Location: Please meet us at the Esch Park playground
- Parking: There is a street parking along Esch Avenue. We recommend carpooling when possible.
What to wear and bring:
Closed-toe shoes
Weather-appropriate clothes that can get dusty or dirty
A reusable water bottle
We’ll provide tools and instruction
Please note:
Volunteers may be kneeling or bending for long periods
Surfaces may be uneven or sandy
There may be some thorny plants like thistle
All minors should be accompanied by a guardian
