The Pittsfield Elementary School Ice Cream Social is the biggest PTO fundraiser of the year. Proceeds from the Ice Cream Social are used to enrich the learning environment for all students by supporting field trips, purchasing Kindles and e-books, and classroom supplies for all classrooms. In addition to the enrichment, the PTO continues to offer scholarships to ensure all 5th graders can attend camp; supports Science Olympiad and our own science fair; and ensures that there are at least three quality assemblies, which include a Disability Awareness Workshop.
This year's Ice Cream Social is Friday, May 29 at Pittsfield Elementary School, 2543 Pittsfield Blvd, Ann Arbor, MI 48104. Volunteers are needed for the following shifts:
Set-up from 3:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m.
Running the activities from 5:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.
Clean up from 8:00 p.m. until 9:30 p.m.
Volunteers under the age of 18 should have a parent or guardian present.
