HAVEN has a 3/4 acre produce garden onsite. It allows us to provide survivors with healthy food and programming around healthy eating and living. We are looking for willing volunteers to help us get the garden ready for the new season. We have a list of projects to get done, and we can't do it without you! So whether it is just you, or you're bringing a group with you, we welcome all to our garden.
**As a reminder, our agency has a policy in place that clients must be out of services for a minimum of 12 months before becoming eligible to volunteer. This policy exists to ensure that individuals have the necessary time and space to focus fully on their healing and recovery journey.
We understand the desire many clients feel to give back, and we deeply value their strength and resilience. However, this waiting period is a vital part of our trauma-informed approach, and it helps protect the well-being of both former clients and those currently receiving support.
