In collaboration with the Mayor’s Workforce Development Board Youth Subcommittee and Detroit Economic Solutions Corporation (DESC), United Way for Southeastern Michigan is hosting a Career Connections Fair to support students in securing summer employment through Grow Detroit’s Young Talent (GDYT). Students within United Way's College and Career Pathways network will be exposed to various career paths available, receive the knowledge and skills needed to help them acquire and maintain employment, and gain summer employment in alignment with their school's career pathway.
Event volunteers are needed to assist with student arrival, registration, breakout sessions and overall event management. Volunteers can register for the AM (7:15 - 11:45 a.m.), PM (11:45 a.m. - 2:45 p.m.) or full day (7:15 a.m. - 2:45 p.m.) shift.
