United Way for Southeastern Michigan is recruiting volunteers to participate in several career days hosted at local high schools. Career days expose students to a variety of available career pathways and display the education, skills, credentials and prior experience required to be successful in the field.
Fifteen representatives are needed to volunteers at Detroit Edison Public School Academy (1903 Wilkins St., Detroit) in the areas of engineering, business, marketing, media (TV and radio) and healthcare. Other fields are also welcome. Organizations can send 1-3 volunteers per field or a variety of all fields. Volunteers will go classroom to classroom to give a brief presentation on their career path.
