Project Description: Baby Bundles are one way that we are seeking to engage parents early-on in their child’s development. These bundles include essential items as well as important information on United Way’s Bib to Backpack initiative and the programs and tools that parents can easily tap into. The bundles are put together by caring volunteers and are distributed to expecting and new mothers throughout the community to engage them in the system of care that United Way has built around empowering parents to be the best that they can be.
Volunteers will help to create Baby Bundles and write encouragement cards for new parents.
Our Mission:
The mission of United Way for Southeastern Michigan is to mobilize the caring power of Detroit and Southeastern Michigan to improve communities and individual lives in measurable and lasting ways. This project is a part of our Basic Needs work, working to provide the community with needs such as housing, food and clothing.
