Join us every Friday, and help us to beautify our parks and make a difference in the community!
Volunteers will participate in Green Space cleanup and maintenance. The work done contribute to sustaining safe, happy, and prospering neighborhoods in Southwest Detroit.
Activities include but are not limited to: Clean-up, weeding, landscaping, mowing, weed whacking, leveling, raking, and shoveling. The scope of work changes week-to-week, but volunteers can plan on outdoor landscaping work. Additionally, we accommodate to volunteers needs and skills.
Apparel & Equipment: Volunteers should bring jeans/work pants, shoes/boots, shirt (short or long sleeve) that they are OK with getting dirty. UNI provides tools, water, gloves, sunscreen, and safety glasses. Volunteers are should bring coffee, snacks and other accessories as they wish.
