Piquette Square is a 150-unit apartment project in Detroit to house and care for homeless veterans. Piquette Square offers comprehensive support services to help the veterans develop self-sufficiency and reintegrate into the community.
In order to help veterans feel welcomed into Piquette Square, MiSide is seeking donations of items to help outfit veterans' apartments. Items needed include:
- Dishes (new or gently used)
- Coffee Cups
- Coffee pots
- Crock Pots
- Eating utensils
- Large cooking spoons
- Bowls
- Pots/pans (new or gently used)
- Blankets, sheets (regular size), pillows must all be new
- Towels, washcloths must all be new
- Laundry basket
- Laundry soap (liquid only)
- Cleaning supplies, Lysol, Comet, Bleach, etc.
- Body Soap
- Tooth brushes
- Tooth paste
- Razors
- Shaving Cream
