The local American Lung Association office in Southfield, MI has volunteer opportunities for small groups a few times a month. Typically these opportunities are in the afternoon after school, in the early evening, or sometimes a few on Saturdays - late morning/early afternoon. Your group size should be between 2-5 students per shift.
This is perfect for students who are looking for service hours to complete their graduation or program requirements. Projects could include:
- General office support (filing, sorting, stuffing envelopes, etc.)
- Mailing event / campaign items (packaging, labeling, etc.)
- Making phone calls to event participants with reminder messages (phone, messaging and more will be provided)
- Helping with a current campaign project - folding shirts, packaging supplies, etc.
Many of our volunteer opportunities can accommodate differently-abled students and we encourage to reach out to learn more. In addition, we do offer some community-based and virtual volunteer opportunities as well!
