Children's Literacy Network's in-person BookPALS program is continuing during the 2025-2026 school year in Detroit! The program will share the joy of reading and encouragement of reading confidence with local 2nd grade students while practicing crucial literacy skills. The highly-loved program is in need of volunteers that are available during the school day for in-person volunteering at local elementary schools. - All books and resources are provided, we just need YOU!
- We are looking for volunteers who are interested in volunteering in Detroit on Mondays-Thursdays during the school day.
- If you are looking for an opportunity to volunteer for 1-2 hours during the work day, or have time to give during the week, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!
- Training is provided and no experience is necessary, just a kind heart, love of reading, and open mind.
