Detroit College Day (DCD) is hosted by MSU College Advising Corps (MSUCAC), Michigan College Advising Corps (MCAC), AdviseMI College Advising Program and Detroit College Access Network (DCAN). The purpose of DCD is to educate and excite high school students about the postsecondary planning process and to inspire a college-going atmosphere in the city of Detroit. The event will include a college fair, college knowledge workshops, panel discussions and giveaways.
Volunteers will be assigned to various task to ensure the event flows well including:
- Bus greeter
- Room setup/workshop moderator
- Hall/Vender Monitor
- Lunch Preparers/Hospitality Room
- Main room/Stage support
- Registration table
