SNAP Reporting and Resources for Nonprofit and Community Partners

Adults without young kids who rely on the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) must show that they spend at least 80 hours per month working, job training through Michigan Works!, or a combination of both. Instead of working or training, they can volunteer for a nonprofit or community organization. Individuals can complete and submit a monthly Community Service Activity Report or submit a letter from the organization they volunteered with confirming their hours on official organizational letterhead.

Below are resources for nonprofit and community partners to support SNAP recipients and their community service requirements.
