Who We Are
Mission: to provide care to underinsured workers and students
The Downriver Community Clinic opened in 2005 as the Wyandotte Clinic for the Working Uninsured. Founded by Dr. Chris Bush, with board-certified doctors volunteering to take care of uninsured and underinsured working adults, our clinic provides primary care at no cost, from flu shots to cancer screenings, prescription assistance, diagnostic testing, and education. Patients of the Downriver Community Clinic are required to be 18 years of age and must present proof of employment or school enrollment. We work to keep Downriver residents healthy and on the job.
What We Do
The Clinic exists to help adult uninsured and underinsured workers improve and maintain good health by providing primary and preventive care, education, and referral so that they may continue to work to support themselves and their families.
