Who We Are
Mission: “Christ in All, Communion for All, Connecting with All.”
Journey of Faith is a small, diverse, inter-generational, mission-oriented Christian community in Ann Arbor. Having served and fought for justice as Memorial Christian Church for 125 years, we are entering a new moment in our life, one in which we are posed for growth and excitement.
What We Do
Our work in the community currently has three focuses: aging and caregiving, affordable housing, homelessness. In the first area, we have a team that works primarily with seniors in the West Willow and Sugarbrook neighborhoods, using a model of asset-based community development. In the second and third area, we have two main programs that run year round, Peace House Ypsi, which provides food and respite and community space to people who are houseless and insecurely housed, and New Beginnings Homelessness Ministry, which operates out of the church and includes an art studio and gallery, laundry and shower services, donation room, and emergency food pantry.
