Mission: To empower youth to overcome their barriers, help guide their potential, and inspire change through compassion, education, and support from the community.

After losing her 20-year-old son far too soon, our founder, Petrina Edmondson, determined to honor her son’s spirit and extend his legacy of care and generosity, established the Maurice AC Kirkwood Jr. Youth Foundation. This foundation is committed to empowering youth to overcome life’s challenges, fostering personal growth, and providing critical resources that help pave the way for brighter futures. Maurice’s values of empathy and dedication live on through the foundation’s impactful work, inspiring and uplifting young people in need. His legacy continues to transform lives, embodying the same strength and compassion that defined him.

We are an organization dedicated in empower and supporting our communities starting with the younger generation. We offer opportunities to kids and younger adults that exposed them to opportunities to the betterment of their lives. In addition, we support first year college students with scholarships and housing & food needs. We work with families by relieving some financial barriers by providing them with school supplies, uniforms and resources to help assist them and making situations better.
