Who We Are

Mission: To enrich Washtenaw County through a legacy of affordable homeownership for low-income families.

Habitat for Humanity of Huron Valley builds strength, stability, and self-reliance through affordable homeownership for families in Washtenaw County. One of the ways we fund this mission is through our ReStore—a nonprofit home improvement store and donation center open five days a week.

The ReStore accepts donations of new and gently used furniture, appliances, building materials, tools, and home décor from individuals and businesses. These items are sold to the public at 50–75% below retail, making home projects more affordable for everyone.

All proceeds from the ReStore directly support Habitat’s local homeownership programs. Shopping or donating at the ReStore helps build homes, reduce landfill waste, and promote sustainability in our community.

What We Do

The ReStore plays a vital role in Habitat for Humanity of Huron Valley’s work to provide affordable homeownership for local families. We:

  • Resell quality items at reduced prices, making home improvement affordable

  • Fund Habitat programs, with 100% of revenue supporting local home builds and renovations

  • Divert usable goods from landfills, reducing environmental impact

  • Partner with the community, offering donation and volunteer opportunities for individuals and businesses alike

Whether you’re donating, shopping, or volunteering—your support helps build a stronger Washtenaw County.
