Who We Are
Mission: To provide exceptional outdoor recreation and educational opportunities while protecting natural resources and promoting environmental stewardship for current and future generations.
Established in 1939, the Huron-Clinton Metroparks system spans nearly 25,000 acres across 13 parks in southeast Michigan. We serve over 7.3 million visitors annually, offering a diverse range of activities that connect people with nature. Our parks provide accessible spaces for individuals, families, and communities to explore, learn, and enjoy the outdoors.
What We Do
We offer year-round recreational and educational experiences, including hiking, biking, fishing, boating, golfing, and winter sports. Our nature centers and interpretive programs engage visitors in environmental education, while our conservation efforts ensure the protection of Michigan’s natural habitats. Whether you’re looking for adventure, relaxation, or learning opportunities, the Metroparks provide a space for everyone to enjoy and connect with the outdoors.
