Junior Achievement of Southeastern Michigan (JASEM) is a franchised office of Junior Achievement USA. Junior Achievement USA is the world’s largest organization dedicated to giving young people the knowledge and skills they need to own their economic success, plan for their future, and make smart academic and economic choices. JA programs help prepare young people for the real world by showing them how to generate wealth and effectively manage it, how to create jobs which make their communities more robust, and how to apply entrepreneurial thinking to the workplace.

Junior Achievement is committed to providing the best educational experiences for youth across Southeastern Michigan. JA has proven, hands-on and blended programming on financial literacy, work readiness, and entrepreneurship that inspires students to understand the opportunities provided by education and has shown to positively impact the lives of young people. These lessons align with state and national educational standards and are delivered to millions of students across the country with the help of our education partners and volunteers from the local community.

Volunteers serve as role models helping to positively impact young people’s perceptions about the importance of education, as well as critical life skills. Preparation involves our proven lessons that promote financial capability, work and career readiness, and business ownership.
