Who We Are
Mission: To distribute surplus medical resources to those in need
Providing medical equipment and prescriptions to those in need both locally and abroad since 1953. Goods are distributed in a non-discriminatory manner without regard to race, color, gender, religion, nationality or political beliefs. In pursuing the mission, the Board of Directors, volunteers, and staff seek to: relieve human suffering; demonstrate respect for all customers, clients, and patients; collaborate with community organizations collectively to provide services to those in need; and maintain a proactive approach to improving services provided.
What We Do
Our programs have both a local, national and international focus. Important to the mission are the medical supply volunteers that help to sort donated medical supplies into various categories like surgery, basic patient care, urology, etc. No medical background necessary. Team leaders will show how it is done. There is not a lot of lifting involved but most work is done standing. Those who do have a medical background and the time available may become team leaders. It is an ongoing position and many volunteers are needed. Help communities locally, nationally and abroad and turn the waste of our society into life-saving goods.
Locally, the agency also serves around 20,000 people with affordable prescription drugs, durable medical equipment, medical supplies, liquid nutrition, adult briefs, diapers, bed pads, ostomy supplies, new twin size and crib blankets.
