The American Red Cross Michigan Region is dedicated to serving communities in times of crisis by providing essential disaster relief, preparedness education, and long-term recovery support. Our mission is to build a more resilient Michigan by assisting families before, during, and after emergencies.
Through Disaster Cycle Services, we offer immediate relief—including emergency food, clothing, shelter, and personal care items—to those affected by fires, floods, and other disasters. We also help reconnect separated families and provide referrals for long-term assistance. When major disasters strike beyond Michigan, our teams deploy nationwide to provide critical aid.
Our Volunteer Services empower individuals to make a difference, whether by responding to disasters, supporting blood drives, assisting military families, or helping reunite loved ones displaced by conflict.
Through Blood Services, we ensure a safe and reliable blood supply, collecting donations daily to meet the urgent medical needs of hospitals and patients.
We also provide Training Services, offering life-saving courses in CPR/AED, first aid, water safety, and caregiving, equipping communities with essential skills to respond to emergencies.
Our Service to the Armed Forces program supports military members and their families by relaying urgent messages and offering vital assistance in times of need.
Additionally, our Home Fire Campaign aims to reduce home fire-related deaths and injuries by 25% through prevention education and safety measures.
As part of the global Red Cross and Red Crescent network, we extend our reach beyond borders, delivering humanitarian aid to the world’s most vulnerable communities.
Through the dedication of our volunteers and the generosity of donors, we stand ready to bring hope, relief, and recovery to those in need—whenever and wherever disaster strikes.
Join us in making a difference.
