Help bring fresh food to neighbors in Ypsilanti! Volunteers are needed to help shovel and move soil from the Growing Hope Urban Farm to the homes of participants in our Home Vegetable Garden Program. You’ll assist in building raised garden beds, one household at a time.
Each bed build takes about 2 hours. Exact dates, times, and locations are being scheduled now for Saturday May 24th, 31st, and June 7th between 10am and 4pm with a maximum of 3 builds per day. Sign up for the time range that you'd be available to help and we'll follow up as builds are scheduled.
What to expect:

Physical outdoor work, including shoveling and lifting

A chance to directly support food access in your community
Bonus: Have a truck? Let us know! It's helpful for moving soil but not required.
