Summer Read Aloud Buddies

Become a reading buddy at the Melvindale Public Library! We are looking for volunteers every Tuesday from June 15-July 28th. Time is 2-4pm.  Volunteers will work with children (mainly grades 3-5) who sign up for half hour timeslots for reading books aloud. Kids will choose the books. Both struggling and enthusiastic readers benefit from practice and encouragement reading aloud. This is a good opportunity for volunteers  interested in education and literacy.
