Help create a fun and welcoming Halloween celebration for families at Buhr Park!
Join Ann Arbor Parks for Boo Bash at Buhr Park on Sunday, October 18. This family-friendly community event will feature games, crafts, inflatables, contests, a petting zoo, a photo booth, and more. Volunteers play an important role in creating a festive atmosphere and keeping activities running smoothly.
Early Shift: 11:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. (SIGN UP HERE)
Late Shift: 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. (SIGN UP HERE)
The public event runs from 12:00–4:00 p.m. Early-shift volunteers will help with the final stages of setup before guests arrive, then support activities during the first half of the celebration.
Possible assignments include:
- Game area monitor
- Train Station Assistant
- Inflatable monitor
- Parking director
- Contest assistant
- Petting zoo support
- Craft station support
- Photo booth monitor or picture taker
- Setup support
Assignments may shift throughout the event, so thank you in advance for bringing a flexible, positive attitude.
Shift Commitment
Please plan to stay for the full shift you sign up for so we can keep activities covered and running smoothly. If you’d like to help but cannot stay for the entire shift, please email volunteer@a2gov.org so we can coordinate.
What to Wear and Bring
- Comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing
- Closed-toe shoes
- Reusable water bottle
We’ll provide a volunteer T-shirt for you to wear during the event, along with instructions, supplies, and support.
