As part of our Women's Convention, we are creating a community service project to help local folks living in a tent city.
Volunteers will meet at Eastern Market on Thursday, 10/26 at 5pm and carpooling in groups over to the Ressurection Tent City on the East Side of Detroit at 3822 Mt. Elliot, Detroit MI.
Volunteers will help give out hygeine kits that we're preparing now, and serve a wonderful dinner from Ms. Ruth's Catering (a wonderful Detroit business facing 300% rent hike!).
We need to bring a warm meal, hygeine kits for their health and WARM BLANKETS, PILLOWS and any clean COATS AND BOOTS. (awaiting sizes needed).
There are about 40 guests coming from the Resurrection Tent City.
