Giving the gift of "Presence" to Hospice Patients

Become a part of our Volunteer Team!!!! We need direct service volunteers to provide companionship to patients. A presence. We also need direct service volunteers to provide caregiver support. This volunteer will provide caregivers some much needed rest while the volunteer visits with the patient. While you are visiting you can utilize a reflections book and scribe your patient's life. Patient's appreciate knowing someone is writing a book about them! Volunteers can also utilize games, puzzles, books, crafts as ways to engage with patients who are terminally ill. Mostly volunteers will hone their skill of listening and creating a calm atmosphere for their patient.

We need Administrative Volunteers/Teens (18year olds ) and Retirees for several different tasks. Administrative Volunteers help our clinical director, office supervisor and office staff by making copies, packets, filing and faxing documents. Administrative Volunteers have helped our bereavement coordinator assemble mail outs. Volunteers help with the organization and assembling of volunteer orientation packets.
