This is a static volunteer opportunity with a monthly commitment. In need of skilled professionals in areas of legal, law enforcement, event planning, nonprofit management, fundraising, policy, marketing and communications, and or similar skill sets.
Typical Time Commitment: 1-hour Monthly Meeting in the evening, and 3-4 hours outside of Meetings per Month completing assigned tasks.
Below is a List of all our Our Committees:
Programs Committee: Help grow our Underage Drinking Prevention program, and build a Court Monitoring program. Help expand and create prevention programs and events to stop drunk and drugged driving. Help out at community outreach events and at speaking engagements, to spread awareness of MADD.
Marketing and Communications: Collaborate with staff to expand and implement PR, media, and advertising. Help expand MADD's outreach to be better be represented in media markets. Assist with media interviews, and help with Letter to the Editor and Opinion pieces in local newspapers. Help with designing of materials, and other promotional pieces.
Victim Services: Help spread awareness of MADD's victim services through community presentations, and outreach. Help recruit Victim Services volunteers to assist staff, work the hotline, and become a Victim Advocate. Expand services and events, like peer support and support groups, for victims and survivors.
Fundraising: Help staff with creating individual fundraising plans to better thank donors, and get new donors engaged. Use your connections to help gain sponsorships for events. Help staff bring in donations and create new methods of fundraising. Assist staff in grand writing, and updating MADD fundraising materials.
Public Policy: Work to Strengthen Existing Laws and Pass New Ones to stop and prevent drunk and drugged driving. Help staff with gaining support and passing an All Offender Ignition Interlock Law. Help build support around Advanced Vehicle Technology. Help Support MADD legislative priorities.
Leadership: Help expand and grow current volunteer opportunities, and create new opportunities to get volunteers engaged episodically or statically. Help thank volunteers and recruit new ones, and come up with new methods to get volunteers oriented and trained.
