Description

Calling all aspiring health professional students, graduate, and undergraduate students to do #MIpart:

The COVID-19 pandemic directly affects our Michigan community. Those on the frontlines in healthcare
and public health need YOUR HELP with childcare, elderly care, pet sitting and running errands so they
can continue to serve those affected by the virus. As schools have transitioned to online learning, we are
in a unique position to step into these roles and support our community during this unprecedented time.

Our mission is to help healthcare providers in Michigan who need assistance managing their household
while serving on the frontlines during the coronavirus outbreak. It takes a village!

We provide assistance to ALL essential workers including, but not limited to: doctors, residents, nurses,
hospital employees, RT, phlebotomists, CNAs, MAs, PT, hospital custodians, patient transport, EMTs,
firefighters, police officers, pharmacists, grocery store employees and restaurant employees.

Inclusion Criteria:

We’re recruiting volunteers from all universities in Michigan that meet the minimum requirements for
childcare services:
1. Any university/college-affiliated graduate or undergraduate student (must show valid student ID)
2. Passed background check done by school/employer (preferred, but not required for all positions)
3. Up-to-date on vaccinations (including most recent flu)
4. CPR/BLS certification is a plus, but not necessary!

Volunteers are placed into pods of 3-5 per family. Volunteers and their matched family are responsible
for coordinating tasks and shifts. The time commitment is dependent upon both the volunteers’
availability and the families’ needs. However, our team is always there to help facilitate communication
between both parties!
