We want to ensure that the Brilliant Detroit kids stay warm during the frigid winter months. Since children grow so quickly, our families are in need of warm winter gear each year. We will distribute the donated items at our neighborhood hubs to the families that we serve. If it is of interest to you, it may be possible to support the clothing distributions themselves as well.
Please consider hosting a drive to collect a combination of the following items:
- Jackets
- Snow pants
- Snow suits
- Gloves
- Mittens
- Winter hats
- Scarves
- Sweaters
- Fleeces
- Warm socks
Please note the following:
- Items can be new or gently used
- Clothing should be for babies through 8 year olds (the primary age range that Brilliant Detroit serves)
- When you sign up, you will be asked to schedule a drop-off at our headquarters (5675 Larkins Street, Detroit, MI 48210) during one of the time frames below. Please select a time slot during which you would like to drop off the collected goods:
- The week of 12/6-12/10 (Monday through Friday 10:00am-4:00pm)
- The week of 1/10-1/14 (Monday through Friday 10:00am-4:00pm)
- If the above timeframes don't work or you would prefer that the items are picked up (for large donations only), please email Aryeh Perlman at aperlman@brilliantdetroit.org to make other arrangements
