The Lipari Food Show is the largest food show rescue of the year! Volunteers will collect food products left over from the exhibit, vendor tables, and booths at the end of the show. In 2019 we rescued 75,000+ pounds of food in one night.
ARRIVAL: Please arrive at 4:45pm to check-in, receive your wristband and assignment.
PARKING: Please try to park on the far east side of the convention center (hotel side). There should be Lipari shuttles taking guests back and forth. If, not it’s a quick walk.

VOLUNTEER CHECK-IN: Follow Signs to Lipari Show Registration. Forgotten Harvest will have a representative at the front entrance to provide your wristband and direct you to the volunteer registration / waiting area.
ATTIRE: Please wear comfortable shoes, there will be tons of walking – if you have a Forgotten Harvest shirt please wear.
*Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age and accompanied by a parent or guardian, must be able to lift 30 lbs. and be on their feet for an extended amount of time*
COVID19 INFO - The safety and well-being of our community, staff and volunteers are important to Forgotten Harvest. We are monitoring the situation and taking our lead from the Michigan Public Health Department, MIOSHA and the CDC. We are asking any person considering volunteering to please practice necessary safety precautions:
- Based on review of the current COVID-19 transmission in our area, FH no longer requires mask use indoors, but you may wear masks / face coverings indoors.
- FH requests all members of FH’s team and our volunteers to respect and honor the rights of others who prefer to wear masks and also respect everyone’s safety choices during this transition time.
- Maintain 6’ social distancing, including use of plastic barriers and “sneeze-guards” in our work areas.
- Continue personal health etiquette, including frequent handwashing or hand-sanitizing.
