Read United is a United Way initiative to bring awareness and support to literacy programs throughout the region. During March is Reading Month, United Way is partnering with area schools and education-focused organizations to engage volunteers in literacy opportunities throughout Wayne, Oakland and Macomb counties.
Guest readers are needed at Ann Visger Elementary School in River Rouge to help promote the love for reading! Volunteers can bring their favorite book or choose from an assortment of books available at the school. Volunteers can sign up for multiple shifts. Please include your preferred grade level in the comment section of your registration (if applicable). Requested grade levels cannot be guaranteed depending on the number of volunteers and grade level requests received.
