Join the Detroit Tree Equity Partnership on Saturday, May 20 for a tree planting and wellness event!
In partnership with The Greening of Detroit, Asthma & Allergy Foundation of America - Michigan Chapter, and Detroit Public Schools Community District, volunteers will be planting trees around Mackenzie Elementary-Middle School while also learning about respiratory and community health.
Volunteers should dress for the weather, wear closed toe shoes or boots, and gloves. Volunteers are encouraged to bring water. Breakfast and lunch items will be provided.
The precise meetup location of this planting and other event logistics will be made available to volunteers at least a week prior to the event.
*Please note: All volunteers will be required to pass a volunteer waiver that will be sent out prior to the event day.
