Interfaith Volunteer Caregivers strives to help seniors and disabled adults preserve their independence by providing volunteer services to help them fill the gaps they need to remain living in their own homes. Our most requested service is transportation to important doctor appointments. Volunteers use their own vehicles to drive those who need transportation to and from doctors' appointments and other urgent appointments in Macomb, Oakland, and St. Clair counties.
Opportunities are flexible, volunteers decide what cities they want to drive to, how often they want to help, and the best days/times for them to volunteer, and IVC only calls to ask about those transportation requests that match the volunteer's preferences. Whether you can help with a ride once a week, once a month, or once a year-any time you can dedicate is greatly appreciated.
