Samaritas' Southeast Michigan Behavioral Health program has a grant working with refugee families from Afghanistan, called Family Strengthening Program for Afghan Families (FSI) - a home-visiting program that supports family well-being and communication for resettling Afghan families.
Afghan families have experienced difficult times due to the war in Afghanistan, being separated from family members, and moving to a new country. This program aims to support Afghan families by strengthening their family relationships and sharing resources that they can use to assist with their adjustment. We are seeking donations of gift cards to give to families in order to recruit families to participate in the program as well as to reward families who have completed the program.
