Garrett's Space, a suicide prevention nonprofit, is looking for someone to run the online auction for our fundraiser, which will be held the evening of August 24th at the Morris Lawrence Building on the Washtenaw Community College campus. This is an exciting opportunity to raise money for our important work. Last year, our auction raised $16,000 and we'd love it to raise even more this year!
Responsibilities include:
Soliciting previous donors and finding new donors
Recording the donations
Picking up some of the items
Coordinating a system for distributing the items to the donors. Some will be picked up at the event. Others would need to be collected directly from you.
Organizing a table of auction items at the event and being at the event to answer questions about the auction.
We have a staff member who has worked on this auction for the past few years and also will be working on the auction this year so you'll be splitting the responsibilities. We wouldn't need you to begin until the end of March. Work will take place until the auction but the bulk of the work will be carried out during the summer.
