Neighborhood Nature Restoration Days - County Farm Park

Expired

Description

Learn, explore, and give back to nature in a friendly setting.

  • During early spring (March - mid-April), we’ll spread native seeds in places where volunteers previously cleared invasive plants to improve habitat for birds, bees, and butterflies. We’ll also enhance the spectacular wildflower displays of Britton Woods by removing the invasive plants Wintercreeper and English Ivy.
  • In spring (mid-April to June), we’ll revel in the glorious wildflower displays of Britton Woods, while protecting them by removing invasive garlic mustard, dames rocket and bittercress.

Enjoy off-trail outdoor exercise and develop a sense of well-being in nature, all while building community with like-minded people. Led by Jonathan Parker. Snacks and gloves provided-bring a water bottle.
