The Handy Helper  

Home Depot is this person’s happy place. They can fix anything… or love trying.  They’re as happy cutting the grass as they are hanging up a picture.  Squeaky doors and leaky faucets are no match for this DIY whiz.  This volunteer’s skills are magic to us as they allow us to be better stewards of donor dollars instead of hiring fixers and contractors. See two volunteer positions that fit within thiis category below. 

Maintenace  

  • Interested in general maintenance    
  • Ranging from minor wall patching and painting   
  • Testing the emergency lighting monthly   
  • Hanging/anchoring different items   
  • Changing light bulbs as needed   
  • Attentive to detail   

 

Groundskeeper  

  • Helps keep mulched areas neat and keep the property debris free
  • Can plant annuals, trim bushes, pull weeds, etc
